The Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs serves the Archdiocese as a resource to the Archbishop and the various offices of the Archdiocese in all matters of ecumenical and interreligious issues. The Director is a representative to the various Christian, Jewish and other non-Christian communities in the greater Los Angeles area as well as a developer and coordinator of bilateral and multilateral official dialogue in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

The Martin Gang Institute for Intergroup Relations, a shared venture of AJC Los Angeles and LMU Extension, is dedicated to the promotion of understanding between religious and ethnic communities in Southern California. The focus of the Institute is to provide educational opportunities for lay and ordained leaders, educators, social workers, civic officials and other interested stakeholders.
