Rabbi and Cantor Eva Robbins

Rabbi and Cantor Eva Robbins is a graduate ofthe Academy for Jewish Religion, California (a“transdenominational” seminary), both as cantor (2004) and rabbi (2015), and is now on the AJRCA faculty. She is co-rabbi and co-founder, with her husband, Rabbi Stephen Robbins, of Congregation N’vay Shalom, Oasis of Peace, one of the first independent synagogues in Los Angeles. Rabbi Eva is also a Jewish fabric ceremonial artist with works in homes, synagogues, and two Jewish museums. She is a commentator for the Jewish Journal of Los Angeles, and also a teacher of Jewish Meditation. Rabbi Eva is the author of Spiritual Surgery: A Journey of Healing Mind, Body, and Spirit, and is also completing a spiritual memoir, Alchemy of the Darkness, Transformation of Soul. She is a member of the Cantors Assembly and the AJRCAA and on the Board of Directors of the Sandra Caplan “Transdenominational” Beit Din.

 

 

Alice Camille, M.Div

Alice Camille is a lay Catholic writer, educator and retreat leader. She received the Master of Divinity degree from the Franciscan School of Theology at the Berkeley GTU, where she also taught ministry formation and preaching. Alice has worked in parishes and campus ministry across the nation and is active in ecumenical and interfaith settings. Alice has authored over 20 books on Scripture, prayer and the saints, including Isaiah and the Kingdom of Peace and A Little Book of Light. She writes the monthly “Testaments” column for US Catholic and is a regular essayist for “Living With Christ “and “Give Us This Day”. Alice has earned many awards from groups such as the Association of Catholic Publishers and the Religion Communicators Council. She collaborates on the online homily service “Prepare the Word,” and has contributed to publications such as Catholic Update, GIA Quarterly, and St. Anthony Messenger. Alice currently works full-time as a writer and retreat leader from her home in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
